peonies of the coos riviera

Just above the Connecticut River in New Hampshire's Coos County, more than a hundred varieties of herbaceous peonies, tree peonies, and intersectional-hybrid peonies bloom from late May to early July.

Post-winter cleanup has begun despite finicky temperatures vacillating between 15 and 65 degrees--sometimes in a single day!

The peony display will open to the public around the second week of June, when the peonies begin blooming in northern New Hamsphire. Gardeners interested in viewing very-early herbaceous peonies and early tree peonies are invited to email or phone 603.837.9800 to arrange pre-season visits. Check this website in late May for updates.
